FOCUS: The #1 Mindfulness Habit to Survive Corona Crisis
Posted on April 13, 2020 at 4:52 PM |
![]() |
This new
year brought a host of unprecedented health and economic issues that many
people were unprepared for and yet, the pandemic we are all experiencing also
comes with a host of opportunities that can help us change our personal and professional
lives for the better. Self-quarantines
and social distancing have given us “the gift of time” to start making
proactive changes in our health, life style, financial planning, and
businesses. This is a time for us to
become more productive rather than fall deeper into procrastination. It is a time for us to make progress and move
forward with our goals, rather than become paralyzed and freeze in our own
tracks. We can choose to become our own
worst enemies and cripple ourselves into complete fear of not knowing what the
future holds, or we can choose to be our own best friends by preparing for the
unknown. “Focus”
is the #1 mindfulness habit that will help you become more proactive on the
things in your life that you can and want to change: Find
Your Strengths Observe your mentors Challenge yourself to continue to grow and get out of your comfort zone Utilize all your talents, skills, and resources to the fullest extent possible Stick
with it and strive to make a difference. Learn
from past mistakes. Forgive yourself and
one another. Follow your destiny. |
Ease Your Soul

In these
challenging times of the Coronavirus, social distancing and quarantining, it is
important to find uplifting things that will help ease the soul. Here are a few
of the things I have been applying into my daily ritual: 1) I listen to positive pod-casts and have
enrolled in on-line self-development programs. 2) Work-out, this is a great way to keep
in shape during this #stayhomemn. You will feel better after an intense workout
and yes look great as well. 3) Reach out to family and friends, talk
about how you are feeling, and encourage open conversation. Many people are
feeling very nervous with all the news of the death count, the spread of the
virus, and the overall shutdown of the economy. 4) Meditate and practice relaxation techniques.
The more you can balance your overall emotions the better. 5) Eat healthy, take vitamins and
nutrients. The immune system needs to be at the top of the list along with
washing our hands. This
difficult time will pass sometime soon. In the meantime, be good to yourself
and to others. I hope one day we all will look back on this “Global Pandemic
of 2020” and realize we not only made it through but we are much better people
because of it. |

Fall 2016

Autumn is the season we normally
think about going back to school, accomplishing our career goals, and looking
for a strong finish towards the end of the year. It is also the time of year that we must give
thanks and express our gratitude for the many people who have helped us along
the way towards achieving those goals and it is a time to count our many
blessings. This season, I am grateful to
all my family and friends for supporting me in so many ways. Whether it has
been volunteering to help serve on some kind of upcoming Spring Conference Toastmasters
Committee, registering for my own class offerings, programs, and events, or
simply getting together for some real quality “face to face” time to enjoy my
life’s mantra of “Good Food! Good Friends!
Good Fun!” I am grateful for all
those who have stepped forward to help, assist in any way they can, and who
have been apart of my crazy, busy hectic life. I have really come to
appreciate my family, my husband, mom and dad, as well as the high quality
people that have surrounded me and that I call my friends. I am truly blessed to have great
relationships with my business partners and associates and I am looking ahead
to a prosperous new year. It may start to get chilly
outside but Autumn warms my heart. THANK
YOU! |
Fall 2016

"Autumn is an artist who uses
an oak leaf on which to paint a masterpiece." --- William Allen Ward Fall is here, my favorite
time of the year. I love the wonderful
colors, cool nights, bonfires, football, caramel apples, my Grandson Jaxon's
Birthday....I could go on and on. In the spring blog I talked
of rebirth and rejuvenation. With the fall season, I look within and reevaluate
where I am going and what needs to be let go of. Just like the falling leaves, sometimes we
need to let go of what is not working or no longer aligns with our true self. Once
again I encourage you to walk in nature, stop, and reflect on the beautiful
fall colors all the while giving thanks. ENJOY THIS WONDROUS SEASON !! "Life starts all over
again when it gets crisp in the Fall." - F.

Spring Cleaning
Posted on April 8, 2016 at 12:04 PM |
![]() |
It's time for Spring cleaning and getting things in order. There is house work, yard work, and also personal self work. That's right! This is the perfect season to work on self. This is the perfect season to find some sense of balance and harmony. Take inventory of the people, activities, and things that enrich your life. Value those, treasure them, hold them dear and close, and show your appreciation. Always count your blessings. By contrast, take inventory of the things that subtract from your life and throw them out to make room for more fulfilling experiences and adventures. If you are feeling a bit overwhelmed, perhaps you are surrounded by too much clutter. Get your house in order, your family in order, your business in order, and your health in order. List the things that really matter and stay focused on achieving those goals that support your values and are aligned with your priorities. Strive to make a difference in the lives of those people who matter to you most. Prioritize your personal and professional development goals. Refresh, renew, and rejuvenate yourself by getting things in order. Inform, influence, and inspire others through both random and intentional acts of kindness. Notice the unfinished things that require your attention and follow through on completing them. Go after the things you desire! |
Spring 2016

Spring is here, a time of
rebirth and new life! I always feel rejuvenated, revitalized, and refocused in the Spring.
As I talked about in my New Year Blog, "This is what new life and the
new year is all about, the opportunity to begin again, to look at the world
with fresh eyes and believe that anything is possible." This holds true
for Spring. Look around you and see the new buds blossoming and the green grass
coming in. We all have the opportunity to grow and blossom into our full
potential. It is up to us. Do we want to create the life of our dreams? Start by reevaluating where
you are in your personal and business life. What is working? What needs to
change? Then, focus on where you want to be in a year from today. Revise where
needed and recommit on what is working. Take time to walk in nature, if
possible daily. Allow your creative side to come through. You will be amazed on
the clarity you get from being in nature and being in silence. Spring has Sprung, this is
the time to grow into the person needed to
create the life you desire!! "Spring is when life's
alive in everything." --Christina
